'The Devil Wears Prada 2': Meryl Streep guarantees salary of R$ 60 million and makes demand to benefit Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt

Comadre, if on screen Miranda Priestly makes Andy and Emily eat the bread that the devil kneaded, in real life Meryl Streep is the boss that everyone wanted to have! The amount that the three received to return to the roles after 20 years was leaked, and the veteran's gesture behind the scenes is to give a standing ovation.
The film is already a resounding success, comadre, approaching the $300 million mark at the worldwide box office. And with all this success, Variety magazine ended up discovering the numbers behind the camera.
To accept to put on that platinum wig of Miranda Priestly again, Meryl Streep closed a fee of US$ 12.5 million (which is more than R$ 60 million in our currency!). But the best part comes now: instead of demanding to be the highest paid by far, Meryl put her foot down at the negotiating table and demanded a "favored nations" agreement.
Do you know what that means, bedpan? It means that she demanded that Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt receive exactly the same amount as her! Thanks to this generous bossy attitude, both our eternal Andy and Emily also pocketed $12.5 million each. Too chic, right?
And the perks don't stop there. Their contract has bonus clauses for box office. As the film is exploding in theaters around the world, these bonuses have already started to fall into the account. If the pace continues like this, each of the three could finish the project with more than $20 million in their pockets.
To give you an idea, the first film, back in 2006, cost only US$ 35 million to make. That sequel had a budget of $100 million — and director David Frankel confessed that almost all of it was spent to pay off this heavyweight cast. And rightly so, right? Without them, there would be no film!
