Popcorn burned! Public Prosecutor's Office appeals to charge R$ 1.4 million from MC Pipokinha for show with sexual content in front of students

MC Pipokinha thought she was going to make a profit by paying a modest fine for the explicit scenes she starred in on top of an electric trio in Mato Grosso do Sul, but the prosecutors put their foot down and want to extract R$ 1.4 million from the pockets of the funkeira and the organizers!

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Mato Grosso do Sul was not satisfied with the initial conviction of R$ 162 thousand applied to MC Pipokinha and the producers of an event held in Corumbá. For the prosecution, the performance with partial nudity and obscene acts right in the face of uniformed students was very serious, and the value of the collective moral damage has to rise to more than one million reais!
The judicial hubbub, comadre, originates in February 2023. At the time, the singer climbed on an electric trio set up in a completely open area, with free circulation and right next to a state school.
Videos attached to the lawsuit proved that the funk singer performed partially naked while her dancers performed choreographies and physical contacts that simulated explicit sex — all of this visible to pedestrians and to teenagers in the 14-year-old age group who were in class.
In the first decision, Judge Maurício Cleber Miglioranzi Santos, of the 1st Civil Court of Corumbá, sentenced those involved to pay R$ 162.1 thousand (R$ 100 thousand from Pipokinha's personal quota and the rest divided among four other organizers). The magistrate pointed out that the show exceeded all limits and that the contractors knew very well the singer's scatological history to put her on a public road without isolation.
The MPMS, however, found the bill too cheap for the damage caused and filed an appeal. The prosecutor's office demands that the joint indemnity reach at least R$ 1.4 million, claiming that the previous amount does not reflect the social impact and the affront to children's rights.
If the Court accepts the appeal, all the amount collected will be allocated directly to the Municipal Fund for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (FMDCA) of Corumbá.
The Public Prosecutor's Office reinforced that the organizers and the Guardianship Council had been formally notified before the event, but shrugged off the warnings.
